Kimberly Hatch Harrison

Founder

Kimberly earned her BS in Biology and another BS in English at Caltech. She did her graduate work in Molecular Biology at Princeton, specializing in Immunology and Neurobiology. Kimberly spent 16+ years as a research scientist and a dozen years as a biology and chemistry instructor.

Michael Harrison

Founder

Michael earned his BS in Math from Caltech, and did his graduate work in Math at UC Berkeley and University of Washington, specializing in Number Theory. A self-taught programmer, Michael taught both Math and Computer Programming at the college level. He applied this knowledge as a financial analyst (quant) and as a programmer at Google.

Megi Shuke

Associate

Megi Shuke joined Socratica in September 2022. She has a bachelor's degree in Computer Science and a Master of Education in Learning Technologies from the University of Minnesota. She has spent many years teaching in Vietnam, Albania and Portugal. Megi is fluent in Albanian, English, Italian, Spanish, and is currently studying German. Megi considers herself a life-long learner and is constantly curious about everything education-related. She is passionate and dedicated to online learning, teacher education, learning with/through social networks, and digital equality. She is the founder of an informal learning community called AlbanianStudygram which aims to create and share educational information and career tools for albanian-speaking youth from all walks of life. Megi brings a broad mix of talents and viewpoints to the Socratica effort.

Alivia Brown

Associate

Alivia Brown graduated from UCLA in 2022 with a major in Anthropology and a minor in Evolutionary Medicine. During her time at UCLA, Alivia was involved in both psychological and anthropological research which ultimately led her to find a passion for education and cross-cultural knowledge. Alivia has a passion for not only learning, but also sharing knowledge with the world. She is a video editor, educational researcher, and an online educator. You will rarely find someone who is as passionate about their major as Alivia is about anthropology. In addition to her academic achievement and experience in film, Alivia also has her own YouTube channel devoted to Anthropology. On this channel, Alivia hopes to make anthropology a more accessible topic for the global community and educate others on the importance of the field.

Liliana De Castro

Liliana de Castro is a professionally trained actress and host. Liliana is a polyglot who is fluent in many languages - Portuguese, Spanish, English, and Italian to name a few. A lifelong learner and fan of all things science and science fiction, Liliana brings an international reach to Socratica.

Ulka Mohanty is a true polymath. With a degree in computer and cognitive sciences, Ulka also is an actor, voice actor, dancer, choreographer and occasional professional chef!
