Astronomers use at least three different terms to discuss a star's brightness: Apparent Magnitude, Absolute Magnitude, and Luminosity. In this video, we do three practice problems using these different ways to compare the brightness of different stars. Finally, we show you an exercise that will help you develop a real feel for these numbers.
