Gallium is the chemical element with atomic number 31 and chemical symbol Ga. Gallium is a silvery-coloured metal which will melt if you hold it in your hand (its melting point is ~29.76 degrees Celsius, or 85.57 degrees Fahrenheit). Because of its low melting temperature, gallium as used for years to make easily melted alloys. Today, gallium is commonly used in semiconductors for electronics.
