BismuthBismuth

Bismuth is the chemical element with atomic number 83 and chemical symbol Bi. Known since ancient times, bismuth is about twice as abundant as gold. It is a brittle metal that forms unusual "stair-stepped" crystals when it recrystalizes after melting. Due to bismuth's low toxicity, uses for compounds containing bismuth have been developed in cosmetics and pharmaceuticals, notably Pepto Bismol.
