BiochemistryBiochemistry

Biochemistry is the study of the chemical processes related to living organisms and required for life. It is closely related to molecular biology, but the tools used to study biological molecules differ between the two disciplines. The biochemical approach tends to focus on the size/shape/structure of biological molecules, and characterizing their interactions, while molecular biology tends to focus on the nature of biological processes and how they are regulated.
